Party of One

I consider this to be one of my most “fabulous” pieces.

Something about the decadence of all the shiny surfaces and glittering lights.  It was built partially to fill the void left by my “Alcohologram” piece which was destroyed in shipping years ago.

Every element was found — scrap yards, second-hand stores, dumpsters — then cleaned, stripped, sorted and rebuilt. Found aluminum is TIG-welded and sanded seamless; nothing is cast. The electronics are salvaged from consumer devices, repaired and rewired so the piece does something when you touch it.
