Skittish

A while ago I made a piece that had a wooden clog for a head.

Since then I’ve been holding on to the other one until it felt safe to try the trick again. This one came out considerably more anguished.

Every element was found — scrap yards, second-hand stores, dumpsters — then cleaned, stripped, sorted and rebuilt. Found aluminum is TIG-welded and sanded seamless; nothing is cast. The electronics are salvaged from consumer devices, repaired and rewired so the piece does something when you touch it.
