The story
Much like in a previous piece: Psychos-O-Matic, this sculpture is themed around self abuse.

Not the intentional kind mind you, but the unwitting variety. Our poor hero pedals diligently at his machine to get away from the persistent clubbing on his head, while all he needs to do for relief is to stop pedaling.

Every element was found — scrap yards, second-hand stores, dumpsters — then cleaned, stripped, sorted and rebuilt. Found aluminum is TIG-welded and sanded seamless; nothing is cast. The electronics are salvaged from consumer devices, repaired and rewired so the piece does something when you touch it.

Everything in this piece had a previous life. Nemo’s own inventory, in his words.

Rocking chairs, vacuum cleaners and parts, optical test equipment, baseball bats, drafting table parts, lamp parts, power tools, safety toes, coffee table, “magic eye” vacuum tubes, neon bar tube, motor, truck tool box, wagon wheel, belt wheels, belts, chain, sprockets, faux ships wheel, fishing reel, etc.
